Student Leadership Conference (SLC) – Cleveland, OH | November 13–15, 2025

Call for Submissions

IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) Century Scholarship – SLC Edition will recognize outstanding IMA student members who demonstrate leadership potential, creativity, and enthusiasm for management accounting at select Cleveland, Ohio area colleges/universities. This scholarship supports attendance at the 2025 IMA Student Leadership Conference (SLC) in Cleveland, Ohio and is designed to inspire the next generation of leaders in accounting and finance.

Eligibility

Applicant must:

• Be an active student at one of the following schools: Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University, Franciscan University, John Caroll University, Tri-C Community College.
• Be a current undergraduate student or graduate student in accounting or a related field.
• Demonstrate leadership potential and a strong interest in management accounting.
• Have an expressed commitment to pursuing a career in accounting, finance, or management accounting-related fields.
• Be available to attend the SLC in Cleveland, November 13–15, 2025.

Submission Instructions

You must first create a customer account with IMA (not membership) to submit your application via OpenWater by September 30, 2025.

• Responses MUST BE the applicant's original work. (Please do not use AI). 
• *All documents must be submitted in English. 
• Word counts must be adhered to (300-500 words for essay; 150 words max for each short answer question). 

Submission Process

Applicants must provide the following:

• Complete online Scholarship application form by clicking HERE.  
• Submit a one-page résumé, including (as appropriate) a summary of the applicant’s leadership activities, extracurricular activities (sports, clubs, and volunteer participation), and other information pertinent to the application (Optional).
• Applicant must answer one 300-500-word essay question and three short answer questions (150 words max each).
